I've broken the plastic clip that holds the top rad hose to the engine hoist bracket. Is no.3 the right clip in the pic below?

It definetly looks like it. We have had to replace this part with several strong cable ties on the race car since Samco hoses have a slightly larger overall diameter than bmw ones.

Cheers for that, shouldn't need anything stronger than standard for my car tho! :D

Yeah on a standard car the standard clip should be fine.

Although I know of a time when the standard clip broke on a race car and the fan damaged the hose and coolant went everywhere!

I'd cable tie this anyway. Mine slipped out and the fan sliced the hose!
