As i use my 316 with weber carb (32/34 dmtl) in daily traffic , i was wondering if it was possible to have more torque at lower RPM by just putting smaller intakes and putting smaller intake valves.... I know i will loose horsepower in high RPM if i do that , but i don't care. I am just wondering if i can really feel a difference by just doing those 2 things. I know adjusting the M10 from 1.8 to a 2.0 engine helps , but thats too much work and i don't think it's good for fuel consumption.

M10 will never be particularly torquey dude, they are quite a peaky engine in all OEM forms.
cheap tweak is to add a few more degrees dizzy timing and experiment with what feels best to you, be careful though, too much can cause pinking and damage to the engine.

Email FTWi know it sounds weird to do that , but as i never go over 3500-4000 RPM . I tought it was more interesting to have for example 70HP at 3000RMP and 80 at 6000 than 50 at 3000 RPM and 90 at 6000. Maybe i should buy a 324TD...tough it s weird to hear diesel sound comming out of an e30
