Hi guys. As per subject. m40 engine. heater still works.

I know the tracking is a bit out and that's first to sort out but I think there's more to it maybe?

I'd say I've lost about 5mpg but power seems the same any ideas or is it just the tracking?

Yea I've noticed the same, I'm doing about 18mpg, I think it's something to do with the petrol price :x

lol. shit you're probably right. used to get 70 with a few spare out of a tenner now I'm getting just over 60 with a few spare. Makes sense. Time to start back on my old fill up by litres not pounds routine.

Hmm, bit of an exageration about 18mpg, I just worked it out to be 22mpg.
A tenner would do just shy of 60 miles, I just fill up the whole lot now to save me the bother for about 2 days  (damn 318iS petrol tank!)

putting in small amounts is reminder not to use too much right foot for me :) Alway tend to stick my foot down if I've got loads of petrol.

I thought you drive an 318Is?

That can't be right, are you sure the obc is correct. It might be from a 6 cylinder and screwing up the readings. Don't quote me tho.

16mpg!? 22mpg?! Damn M20 BS...lazy gushing injectors...drink problem...panic buying...global warming...what about the children?...etc.

Go the 318iS: 35+mpg till I die (flying off the road on a wet off-camber bend (laughing my head off because at least I'm doing it sideways))

Um, hard accelerating just below the limiter every now and again through the lower gears.

But most of the time i drive like a granded, never rev it high from cold etc.

Tyre pressures and the time since the last service make a big difference.

I'm currently getting between 9mpg and 10mpg in my 323i 8O . That is with easy city driving (mostly staying under 3500rpm and half throttle but a quick busrt every now and then). I don't know where all the petrol is going but if it is fitting that much through the injectors than nobody would ever need to upgrade them surely, no matter how much power they had  .

It is also tuned correctly now I think so I have no idea what is going on but I struggle to get 125 miles from a full tank.

My father has an Evo VI and it suspiciously always gets better fuel consumption than me, even when we go to the track. I think you might be on to something  .

I really have to get it checked, I don't want it leaking fuel everywhere or something.

Pretty much confirmed that it was tyres running low. put in 15quid and light is now intermittent at 75miles so I should be on for about 110 or so in total which I'd be happy with. That's even bootin' it some aswell :)
