Hi all I was talking to Neil (320Touring) during the weekend and he was trying to remove the glass from a touring.

I couldn't help him so thought I'd ask on here. How do you remove the glass from the fixed panes in the rear door and in the rear quarter?

Neil doesn't have internet access all the time at the moment.

Cheers

if you type "remove glass TOURING" instead of TOURER into the search, you get the answers :D

I still haven't got used to not calling them estates - or wagons :D Thanks for that link though.

Still no wiser taking the fixed pane out of the rear panel behind the door. Anyone??

Maybe you could try putting a red sticker on the rear roundel and see if that helps  !!

Only kidding I'm heading up tomorrow during the day to try it again  .

The bonding forms part of the structural integrity of the car, so it is imperative to get it bonded back in properly afterwards.
The car is a breaker and they are stripping it at the moment. Will pass this on tho.

JP that red sticker was to let me onto the track at knockhill. You will be able to get on the track now if you show that. winkeye

I'm sure it was, and to be fair I feel my car has been faster since it was put on :P!

Managed to get one of the windows out today, using a Stanley knife, a wallpaper scraper and a clipper lighter  no damage done, bonzer.

Just need to get the other one out 8O

If you manage to get the black trim strip out on the passenger side that covers the 'C' pillar,it's worth good money to me!
