Regular Vibration every 1 or 2 seconds...

Ok, I'm hoping very much that you knowledgable people can help on this one.

Basically, when I'm driving along, more noticable at higher speeds but I think it's happened when idling too, there is a sort of cyclical vibration, it's somewhere between 1 - 2 seconds, almost like a pulse, and yes it's regular.

Any ideas as to whether this is normal, whether it's an easy fix, what it could be, whether my car is going to blow up and die etc?

Got a 318is, all standard bar an E36 rack and a lightened flywheel, or so I was told...

Help please? :)

Hard to say, i only feel the vibration through the wheel really, but if I had to guess, I'd say engine area, as it happens when idling.
