no rev counter

hi all i've got a c reg more door chromie m20 b25 and my rev counter has stopped working i've changed the ic with no luck any ideas where it gets its feed from and has anyone had this in the past. cheeers

tried 2 ics now and still no joy.

This may be a little way out but does your central locking work? I know somebody had done the infamous red/black wire fix on mine and not soldered it - just tied the wires together. When I undid the wires in prep. for soldering, the OBC, central locking and rev. counter stopped working.

i'll have a look 2mo as i don't lock it so wouldn't know.
