On the m25 this morning, my halfshaft disconnect from my diff, has this happened to anyone else???

had it towed to my mechnaic, cleaned it up refitted and bolted it back together for Ԛ£45....

Never heard of this problem before.

But your a lucky chappie for only being charged Ԛ£45 for recovery and getting it all bolted back together...

Yep :oops:

Fell of at about ten mph. phew.
Had been doing over a ton on the motorway about ten minuets beforehand.
I pushed it up on the kerb to crawl underneath and bolted it back on as i happened to have the tools with me.

The reason it fell off is because i didn't put any thread lock on the bolts when i changed the diff :roll:

yep this happend to me a few months ago, and me and demlotcrew re-fitted my diff that time after i changed the bush on the back plate.

Was funny as i was about 100 yards from my house, so i just walked home and got my tools and bolted her back up tight and shes fine! was lucky i suppose. they need to be quite tight but not mega. I don;t know the official torque settings either

My parents thought i had just left it there parked!
