Running a turbo
Moderator: martauto
you would be pritty safe running under 7psi on a standard engine, but i would advise getting a wideband to make sure the fueling is ok, and maybe some det cans to check det!
or you could use a compression plate to lower the compression slightly. as long as the ignition and fueling is ok with the boost your running your be fine, so start of with low boost and progress from there whilst monitoring things!

The biggest problem you will have is that the Bosch motronic system has no way of 'seeing' boost, so can't modify the injector pulse or spark advance to deal with it.
There are ways around it but I would do it properly which means upgrading the ECU to something like VEMS or Megasquirt, The experts should see this and add more than I can.
If you look on amazon then look for books by 'Corky Bell' I'm meaning to buy them for some good reading
