speedo/rev counter not working after engine swap

hi there, i have swapped my engine from a 1.6 to a 2.5 and everything is fine other than the rev counter and speedo are not working?

any ideas? do they run from the ecu ?

think you have to change the coding plug on the back of your speedo from blue(?) to yellow or something like that?
