ive not looked into this yet just thought id ask the question in case anyone had come across this my windows have permanent power even with the key out even the lights in the window switches are permanently on therfor draining the battery
central locking also not working but its good to have an e30 again after all these years
any help apreciated

A short term solution before you can fix this properly is just to press the window over-ride switch (black rectangular switch found near the window switches). It should cut power to the windows and stop your battery from draining.

Check out the pin switches in the front doors, and the small plastic or rubber button on the door itself that works them.
well i had a look today i pressed the overide button and it cut the power to the windows then i got sidetracked and painted the whole grill and eyebrow things satin black
now i cant lock the drivers door from the outside so that will be next job if i dont get sidetracked again
