Evening all,

Can anyone give me an idea of the cost of sorting this out please?

Would like an idea of whats involved as well as rough idea on costs? (for all of those who have also suffered..!)

Cheers,

You're looking at an outer arch and a respray of the quarter panel up to the roof. About £250 ish with the chaps I use up here. You could do it cheaper by respraying the arch only but that's a bodge IMO.

Some purists would insist on a respray of the whole side of the car. Taking it to £500 ish (again with the people I use).

For those prices I strip the car to the bare legal driving minimum and put it back together and my bodyshop fella rebuilt his own Tech II Sport so knows the model well.

Hope that helps. :D

take the wheel off and have a good look inside the wheel well. You may also need inner arches. I would have the door card off inside in the rear to get a good look, also take the boot inner covers off and have a look at the jack area, it collects water easily.

Good luck.

inner arches are almost certainly shot too, particularly at 10 o'clock and 12 o'clock.

remember and factor in the price of a new set of wheels. :P

Don't worry, if I buy it, new wheels are definately factored in!

I'll sell you a cracking set of bottletops, which will help retain it's originality.
