Any idea what could cause the car to idle poorly when cold?
My car dips from 650rpm - 400rpm and occasionally cuts out until its been run for 6-8 minutes and is warnish then it settles at 650rpm which is still a little low, any ideas why?
Also fuel economy is poor, 100 miles to Ԛ£20, my M535i used to do that and that was a 3.5 and heavier??

Could be 2 things,
The blue temperature sender on top of the thermostat housing can go duff (had this on a 320i, ran rich and was a pig to start).
The idle control valve may be blocked or faulty. Try cleaning the innards with lots of carb cleaner. Has been known to work.
Cheers,
