Why can't ordinary E36 front suspension be used to convert to 5 stud wheels on an E30?

Basically, the m3 evo stuff, provides more castor to help re-centre the wheel. If you want to use standard e36 stuff, you can. All you will need is some custom made wishbones, which are available from e30 centre darlaston, which push the wheel back into the centre without having to use the m3 hubs and m3 evo wishbones. £100 a pair.

Also the M3 Evo stuff would be uprated, better brakes etc.

E30 Centre in Darlaston, don't think they got a website, known for there expertise in convertible roofs.

Probably, but my stocks of bog standard E36 stuff are somewhat greater than those of M3 evo bits!
