Hi...

Turns out my car is totally illegal in Denmark, hence the sudden need to buy antoher set of wheels and "raise" the car up to a 40/40 drop (from 80/60  )

I really have to find a decent set of wheels quickly but it is really difficult to find out what fits and what doesn't!

So - if any of you have a 40/40 drop, I would be very interested to hear what combination you are using.

I would prefer 16" wheels, preferably BBS, Alpina or Hartge, but many other nice E30 wheels are also ok... 15" and 17" will also be looked into if they fit properly.

These wheels must fit the 40/40 drop and have the correct offset so I don't have to use spacers (also illegal)....

All help very much appreciated!

Aalborg....

If all else fails - I will try and find someone in Denmark to borrow wheels from for the inspection!!! :?

Hello mate .... you tried the danish version of the zone ?? (www.bmwe30.dk)
May have some luck there .... there's a guy called Tommy who always has loads of stuff for sale and he is up in northern Jylland. Maybe he can lend you a set of wheels if he has them.
As far as the fit goes isn't 80/60 a bit low ????
I'm going prob 40/40 or 40/30 on 15" BBS as I really don't want hassle when the car goes in for the "syn"
Didn't realise spacers were illegal over here too !!!

Thanks - I didn't know about the dansih version 8O

Yes... 80/60 is just silly low! I was going to change it to 40/40 anyway.... but according to the syn people the spacers are illegal and so is "tysker montering" (German style).....

So I've got lots of problems... but I will be sure to log in to the danish version... would be nice to meet up with some of you guys!

Hi bebecar - thought tommy had at least 3 or 4 15" BBS for sale recently ... snap em up and make a set !!

stick 205/55/15 on and you are back to normal 14" bottletop ride height.
