I know this is old now, but today I cleared mine out just with boiling water and washing up liquid, as holes felt (with wire coat hanger) blocked still.
Made sure car was on a slope, so water ran into hole, and then turned car around for other side.

I tried using cold water the other day, and washing up liquid, and did NOT work. Has to be BOILING water.
