I think I've got a rear top mount gone again. :(
IIRC, the last time I changed them I wasn't aware that there's a "heavy duty option" until it was too late, so I've currently got the standard E30 ones.
So which is the "heavy duty option"?? E46 M3 convertible rings a bell, but checking on ETK, all the E46 convertibles have the same mount listed. :?

Thanks Theo, I'll give them a try. :D
I've just treble-checked ETK and the ones fitted to the E46 M3 convertible definitely aren't unique - they're also fitted to most other E46 convertibles and some of the E46 coupes as well.

I made my own which are very similar to the above.

I just took the rubber bit out, cut the raised bit that holds the rubber and welded a big washer to the plate. You can buy poly/rubber bushes like those above for next to nothing off ebay. I've done a few K on them and they have been grand

nothing wrong with the zone wisdom i've used the same set for the past 5 years just transfering them with the shocks onto my various E30's still going strong, they've done 5 trips to the ring without failure yet.....................

I've used them with B8 and B6 dampers only with a 60mm rear drop.

Anybody got any shots of the E46 cab mounts, what is it about the E30 M3 cab mounts that make them so good?

Don't give up the ghost quite as quickly as E30 mounts, not that that's necessarily quick.

Still in the Lakes Mr.13?

So the general consensus is that the E30 M3's are the daddies over the E46 cab?

How much are the E30 M3 cab mounts though?

If they are considerably more than the E46 mounts, they may not be worth it.

The other thing to factor in is how much better are the M3 cab parts over the e46 parts anyway, and in real terms will anyone other than hardcore track car owners notice any difference at all?

And the third thing to factor in is how much harder are they over E46 parts as too harsh topmounts aren't nice either.

I totally agree.
"best" is a very subjective word.
