central locking trouble ?

suddenly got quite hard to turn key in drivers door to open afraid of snapping key.is this a mechanical problem or is it the actuators pls help

Both! The mechanical mechanism is suffering from lack of maintenence and lubrication, which you can now feel with the key if the lock motors have quit and aren't assisting.
