When I break and release quickly and then break again I get a slight knocking sound, I have just replaced the steering rack and I am sure the rack is fine, all bushes/rubbers have all been change as well,
Any suggestions...

Is it coming from the back or front?

I'm going to assume that it's from the front as you mention the rack..so are your brake callipers on tight? Did you replace the track rod ends with the rack, and are they ok?

Didn’t change the track rod ends but they were checked and seem to be ok, i will check again.

I did check the callipers and they seem to be ok.

I think i am going to take the pads out and check them to see if they are the correct ones fitted.

Many Thanks Mate

Can anyone suggest how to test if the boot lights are staying on with the boot shut?
