Evening all, when driving the car i find it gets difficult to put the car into gear from a stop position with the clutch pedal to the floor. when i release the pedal then reapply it goes into gear. does it mean the clutch is going or could it be something else, thanks inadvance.

More likely the master cylinder, unless you are losing fluid.

The trouble with RH drive cars is that the clutch fluid rarely gets changed! I've seen cars with fluid like tar, but if you change the fluid on these, the nice new thin fluid leaks like a sieve!
If there's no fluid leaking, then the master cylinder is almost certainly the problem. If you hold the car in gear with the clutch pressed, does it eventually start to move forwards?
I strongly recommend changing both the master and slave cylinders at the same time, and flushing out all traces of old fluid from the tubes.

Ive had everything flushed but never changed the cylinder's so this could be the problem. The car doesnt move. It feels like first gear is blocked no matter how much i push the gear stick. but then it'll be alright for a while then it'll do it again.
