My rev counter goes crazy when i put the boot down, it goes off the counter then starts to swing back and forth probably wondering how a 1.6 litre can accelerate the way it does lol.

Does this mean i need to get an instrument cluster from a 325?

There is a coding plug fitted to clusters. you need to swap it for the one that is in your old cluster.

presumably the cluster is from a 4 cylinder car and you have a 6 cylinder car ? If this is the case you'll just need the coding plug that goes in the front of the cluster :D

if your cluster has a code plug in the front then you should only need to change the plug

if your cluster dosent then yes youll need the full cluster afaik

my guages used to read slightly fast when i stuck in my 4 pot conversion . other than that there was no jumping around or erratic reading.

Exactly! With the wrong coding plug, the readings should simply be wrong, not erratic.
