Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction recently my clutch pedal has been playing up. You push it down and there is no resistance. Some people have said master cylinder, others slave cylinder. When the pedal goes soft I cannot change gear. If I keep pressing the clutch eventually you can feel the resistance come back. It seems to be getting worse and is making the car very difficult to drive. I have checked the hoses for leaks and the fluid level is good. The only thing I have not yet done is bleed the system, but im getting the vibe its time to replace something. Any idea which of these is the villain or if there is a way of finding out.

Thanks Rich

^^As above^^. When a slave cylinder fails there will always be fluid loss, so your problem is with the master.
