What's the trick to removing/fixing the distributor cap? It's such a tight space to work in, not helped by me having hands like shovels and 2 of the bolt heads being invisible. Is it recommended to remove the top 2 hoses?

It can be done with it all in situ apparently, but when I did it I couldn't do it, so I waited till I did the timing belt and did it then. I think the metal water pipe across the timing cover gets in the way. The bottom bolts tend to corrode too, I had to drill one out.

I did eventually manage to do it with everything still in place, but it took fooking ages what with dropped spanners, bolts and squashed hands.
