There is a awful screeching noise when the clutch pedal is pressed (started off as a grumble) and when its in gear there is a wine....
Is it a case of a new clutch or can i just get a bearing and how hard is it to do and what sort of cost?
Cheers Charlie

Almost certainly the release bearing, and since you've ignored it until it has failed, it will almost certainly have damaged the release forks in the clutch coverplate.
You need a complete clutch kit to sort this, which will be around £100 for a Sachs or Luk one from ECP or GSF.

i would have done it sooner but for the fact i was a way a very very long way from home......
Mine went a few months ago.. started as a rumble.. then a high-pitched squeal... the bearing was taken out in multiple pieces (not by choice).
Took a few hours to replace mine.
Never (IMO) replace just one part of the clutch.. always do the kit (3 parts).
Regards,
Ian
