Hi,
GSF list two different type of gas dampers for the e30. I have an '89 320 Touring. For example for the front, it lists one for the Touring which is the same part number used for a variety of E30s (part no B44046) and another for M-Tech suspension (B44048). I thought Tourings had M-Tech suspension in the first place, so why are two different types listed? Can anyone help?

Internet myth that all tourings came with M-tec suspension.
I have fitted GSF supplied M-tec Borge gas dampers all round and am very pleased with the result.Cars following me on the recent zone roam were inquiring what roll bar upgrade I had...
I was suprised at the difference that just new dampers made.

Really? It must be uprated over standard e30s though? It's definitely lower that a standard car. I think I will go with the Boge dampers. Any recommendations for springs? I've found that Eibach don't make them for the Touring and I would imagine that o.e M-Tech ones cost a fortune. I'm looking for something similar to these. There has to be some form of ride quality as the roads here are rubbish!
