Back Box straps

Need technical Q/A then you're in the right place

The back box on my Touring is solid but not so solid are the straps that hold it, they have rusted out.....
Where can a get some more?

Had a similar problem on my Sport once. I just "fabricated" a bracket and tied it on with wire. Not recommended, 'cos Mr MOT man won't be happy lol

Just get replacement bracket from BMW.

i got an exhaust band for mine for under a tenner, try an exhaust centre

Mines fully wired on,as long as it's secure there is nothing in the MOT handbook which says what material should be used to hold the exhaust on,in fact,mines been hung on wire for more than one MOT.

GSF supply an 'exhaust fitting kit',this gives you all the brackets complete with nuts and bolts.

Genuine back box clamps are on the partsauction site for £5 each atm
