Will a 325i fuel tank fit my 318is? mine is damaged at the top so could do with changing.

At a guess your tank is 'damaged at the top' by rust around the filler neck... two sizes of tanks were fitted,325 definately had the larger (63 litre) not too sure about 318iS.Smaller tank is 55litre.Easy way to tell is that on the larger tank,both sides are the same depth,the smaller tank is,believe it or not,smaller on one side.They are not directly interchangable,but Brianmooore has written several times about how to fit the other size tank and what requires changing,so a search should reveal all.

Tanks are interchangable but be carefull, there's a difference between old and new ie;

old had an external fuel pump and the newer type had an 'intank' pump.
