E30 and E36 mirrors the same

[confusion]

anyone know if the base plates for the E30 and the E36 are exactly the same. i'm wanting to order up some new smaller mirrors and the web site only has a base plate for the E36, but in the magazine article of the same company it has all the E cars listed. are these all the same or do they differ?

Got an E36 parked beside an E30 in the workshop. Just had a look for you.
The E36 baseplate is longer in every dimension I'm afraid, and it doesn't look like the E36 mirror would fit properly on the E36 baseplate either. E36 arm looks shorter.
