HI ALL do i have to just change the shock or do i have to get the complete front leg?

Just the shock. It's an insert. Best change both sides though.

ASWELL DO I NEED THE SAME MAKE OF SHOCK ON BOTH SIDE OR CAN THEY BE DIFFERENT

It is highly adviseable to change both shocks at the same time and preferably the same make. Exactly like you do with tyres.
