Evenin all just wondering if any one can point me in the right direction as to what the problem could be??
The cars a H reg 318i, when started from cold the revs seem to sit pretty high (2000rpm) until the throttle has been blipped then it dies down to normal. Recently this has started to happen on motorways and is annoyin the hell out of me and robbing me blind on fuel costs 100-110 miles to £20. As usual all help appreciated cheers John

Give the ICV a good clean out with Carb Cleaner that might solve the problem.

I'm not sure on the 4 cylinder engines.

But I would assume a similar set-up to the 6 cylinder engines.

It should be between the airbox and the throttle body in a concertina type rubber hose. (That is the set-up on a 6 cylinder engine.
