Does BMW fit leads and plugs like this? Does any manufacturer fit plugs and leads like this?
The answers should answer your question!

no they dont but that was why they called them performance mods i thought.

if everyone thought like that then every bmw would be the same.

yeh it is those ones. i have also heard that sometimes the pins break of and mashes up the piston and cylinder.

sureley the leads would be better than standard ones as they have a twin core?

your leads really are only as good as the coil that is sending the charge to the plugs putting fancy leads on your car wont really improve anything

What exactly are you trying to achieve here? You have a BMW, not a Ford, Vauxhall or some French sh*te!
When the E30 was designed, the job was left to engineers, and the accountants were kept on a very short leash.
The ignition system has all the 'performance' it needs as standard, and there is nothing to be gained.
The same applies to the air filter and the exhaust system - on an unmodified engine, they are both perfectly adequate to do the job asked of them.

i agree stick with the bmw stuff , i have tried other plugs which promised the earth and caused nothing but problems .
if the leads are shot which is unlikely get a good second hand set
