Hi guys,

Could someone recommend a decent heavy duty battery for my 325i cab?

a decent one would be a bmw battery, cost somewhere in the region of £78 for a 65amp one i got quoted on from vines in guildford. sounds expensive but not much different than halfords prices for maybe not such a good battery

Cheers Tom, Was looking for something a bit closer to home as my battery is totally flat and need one asap! If I leave the car for 1 or 2 days it goes flat

As most batteries come with at least a two year warranty now and some even with 3 or 4 years, I'd phone around the nearest Kwik-Fits and ATS type places. One tip, I have been quoted £80 for a tyre before now but if you phone their local opposition they will always beat that quote, phone the original back and they'll go even lower, then if you phone the opposition again, they usually beat the second quote again and so on until you hit a brick wall. I have ended up gettting that £80 tyre for just over £50 after being told that £80 was the best they could do.

Try and get your battery tested first.
It sounds like you have a "parasitic load", something thats not working properly and putting an unneccasary drain on your battery. Fairly straightforward to test for this if you have a basic understanding of electronics.
