valance change

ok im asking again, as i cant see how the previous answer of just unbolts can be correct,
is it straight forward to change the front valance+bumpers from a pre face lift, to a facelift set up,
just got a preface lift cabrio, but prefer the facelift valance + bumpers,
have a donor valance in correct colour,
but looking at the cars side by side there seems loads of difference'a,
bumper irons, tow eye to name but 2 ,
is this an agro job thats just not worth it ?

mtech 1 body kit anyone ?

The mtech 1 kit looks really good on a cab, they do need cabriolet-specific sideskirts which are hard to find though.

i was a bit of a joke,
i dont like the mtech1 kit on anything other than series 1 sport, it does look wrong on a cabrio,
mtech 2 is far nicer, all round,

ill prob just keep it standard and tidy,
will need some bumpers as these are a tad rusty, apart that it was a bargin at £750 with years mot,

i just much prefer the face lift cabrio, it looks much classier and meaner

its perfectly possible to do the swap, yes you will need the facelift bumper mounts but these will be a straight swap and you will need to hack off the towing loops but since you will be fitting the facelift bumper mount with the thread in it for a towing loop it wont really cause any problems. The only thing im not sure on is whether the bolt holes in the front panel will be present but that will just be a case of drilling a pilot hole and using the original bolt to screw directly into the front panel, the rest of the valance bolts to the wings so will be a direct fit

thanks for that, ive had a look on an american forum and somebody has done it on there,
its seems agro, but i have a donor car in the same colour, and i wanted a face lift cabrio , but got the right car , right price, but pre face lift,
gotta be worth a bash over xmas
