Well I'm still trying to figure out what that noise coming from the rear is!!
It's a whum-whum-whum noise that increases with road speed.
I have changed:
All brake discs and calipers
handbrake shoes
Prop and centre bearing
buckled wheel
dodgy wishbone bush
one rear beam bush
rear top mounts with Koni adjustables (40mm drop on cabby springs)
1 front wheel bearing (wheel nuts snapped, other 3 seem fine)
It doesn't make the noise when reversing, or cornering slowly, slightly left!
All I have left to try is:
Change remaining wheel bearings, gearbox and Diff (sport LSD fitted)
Anyone ever had dodgy noises as a result of Tracking?
(It's a 325i Touring with full Sport running gear)
What the hell is wrong with my car!!??

if its making the noise constantly and not changing when cornering it could be the diff but if it changes when cornering there's a good chance its a wheel bearing
Gonna do the rear bearings soon... It'll give me a chance to change the knackered back-plates too, which keep popping into my mind as a possible reason for the noise. (Handbrake shoe pins coming out, and shoes twisting in drum)
I thought Diffs whined?? It's more of a low cyclic whirring noise.
