Can anyone tell me if this radiator is unique to the M42, or will other E30 radiators fit?

Thanks for the info, i must learn how to do the cross reference thing :o:

As you've probably gathered, the rad is leaking on my "IS Touring", what i hadn't realised is that the expansion tank is detachable, I still have the rad from it's days as a 316i and the part numbers for the expansion tank are the same :D , not 100% that this is the remedy but it seems to be leaking from that area.

Thanks again for the help.

I can guarentee the info Simon has provided. He gave me this tip and as a result I purchased an e36 m50 2.5 rad for a grand total of 99p off the bay.

The only difference is that the e36 one has a coolant level sensor in the bottom, but you swap the blank that is in the e30 one straight over. Job jobbed.
