Can anyone offer me some advice. Recently purchased a late M3 which has not been used much in the last 2 years, also didnt have very much fuel in it (pssibly stale) Car runs fine up to 4000 rpm , no misfire etc. But when you give it a bit of right foot the car initally responds very well then the there is no response from the throttle at all, No ignition lights come, the car then runs very lumpy for between 30 to 60 seconds but never stalls The car then runs as normal but if you take her back over 4000 rpm it happend all over again. I'm comfident its not ignition, possibly fuel. One one had similar probs? If so what was the fault and how did you fix it.
