Hello - I'm in need of a bit of knowledge which might save me a load of time and effort.

My electric mirrors have decided to pack in - absolutely nothing happens when the control is used to adjust them.

I've swapped the mirror control switch for (two) different ones I got from a breakers, still nothing happening.

After reading posts about the door plugs corroding I've checked continuity/resistance of all the switch wires, through the door plug, there to both mirrors and there are no high values so I've written off bad connections in the door and mirror plugs as being the cause. I've cleaned the plugs thoroughly anyway.

There is a very high resistance somewhere along the green/white striped wire (plug 4 on the control switch) back to where it meets fuse 19 in the box though. I'm thinking that this must be the cause.

Is there anything I might have missed/overlooked/fucked up before I start ripping out my dash out to find out what's going on with this wire or should I just get on with tracing it through?

Cheers!
