A bit embarrasing really, there must be an easy way to do this :o:

As the car's been sitting a while it seems that the centres of the hubs have rusted inside the centres of the wheels. I've got three of them off, but the fourth just won't budge.

Any ideas how to free it off ?

Put 2 opposite wheel bolts back in 2-3 turns to stop it flying off, block of wood on the back of the rim and some tapping-stick action will get it off.

I've kicked the cr*p out of it all afternoon ! Kicking worked on the other 3 wheels though so I think I'll try magpie's solution and wear bigger boots tomorrow !

My Capri did this once, loosen but don't remove the wheel bolts, go and drive round some corners fast (well not at 60mph but turn hard) once it goes clunk tighten then drive home, grease hub so it doesn't re-occur.

Aye a bit of copperslip round the center (after a good wirebrushing) will stop it happening again

Wahoo !

Wheel off ! I had to get the back of the car up high enough to lie underneath it on my back and kicking the wheel repeatedly from the inside until it came off.

The good news is that having the back end up in the air I discovered that my car has a LSD, which is nice.
