no power to the ecu ?

finally had time to get back to trying to sort my electrical problem .

ive found that i have ignition power to behind the glove box to where all the wires connect into each other , but the wire that goes to the ecu doesent , there is a plug that this wire goes into and there is a red and green wire and a green wire on this plug does anybody know what the plug is for ? or where it goes or anything about it ?

The wires go to the OBC relay box above the engine ECU. If you look at the loom above the glovebox, there should be an identical plug tied up to it, which is just fitted with a short loop of green wire. Pull this plug loose, and swap it over with the one with the green and green/red wires.

just checked for that plug i couldnt see one but i followed the wire over to the ecu and to the obc relay bow and checked them and they are ok .
do the obc relay boxs commenly cause trouble ?
can i just link the circuit out at the plug or are there any problemscaused by doing that ?
there isnt any sort of imobiliser built into the obc ?

after reading danny cs post ive learnt about a code function on the obc any idea how to bypass this or reset it ? i dont think ive got the code

There is no fixed code - you key in any four numbers you fancy to set the CODE immobiliser, and key in the same four to unset it. The next time you can use four different numbers.
The unit is easily reset, simply by disconnecting the battery.
Cut the green and green/red wires a couple of inches from the plug, and join them together.
