a car leaning to one side is NOT correct cab or otherwise.

lean is cased by bent or damaged suspension componants
possibley bushes but unlikely to be noticable
incorrect / broken or mismatched springs
leaking or broken shock absorbers
the car is not an a level road
an optical illusion due to bent bumpers etc

any car not sitting flat has a problem. the car sitting slightly nose up in some cases is normal

i had this problem when i fitted new strut inserts and springs had to get one of the springs reset by 15mm to level it out found out that the car was not repaired properly after being hit in the front thats why there was a ride height diference its been 2 years and its been ok and the car drives and handles well not much else i could of done i know it was a quick fix but it seemed to work

If you write posts 'properly' without text talk there is a good chance people will actually be able to assist

The right side rear shock mount on my cab is stuffed as well. Is it a common problem with e30 convertible ? I understand why the rear right side is lower cos of the broken mount but why is the front right lower as well.

I have seen you can use e46 mounts and i have also heard z3 ones for the rear am i right, So how about the front what can you use other than E30 ones? As i am getting a rattle from the front drivers side set up had it up yesterday and everything else looks fine talking with someone they said it sounds like the top mounts? Do i need to change the spring pad upper & lower as these may of deteriorated :?: :? :) Cheers

does the rattle go away when you lightly touch the brakes?

Mine does that, still not had a chance to have a look at what it is that's causing it....i'm guessing something on the brakes, brake shield???

Rear damper top mounts have nothing to do with the ride height!

thats what i was thinking, the springs dicatate the ride height not the dampers.... they just, damp.

The noise does not go away when touching the brakes, only on smooth road but still can here a slight rattle, i have been told that it is most probably the strut top mounts, Make sense to me i think there is only one way to find out & that is to change them both, I was thinking what upgrade or just other model mounts can you use on the front, As i am sure i have been told you can use the e46 for the rear as i mite as well do them as well at the same time. Any ideas lads? Cheers.

I thought it does not affect the ride height as well but after replacing all the shock absorbers/dampers and the rear shock mount. The car does not lean on the passenger side anymore.
