Hello, (about bmw 316, 1987, 2BE pierburg carb, 1800cc engine)

The elctromotor of my choke valve always turns in the same direction so that the choke valve is always closed , even when engine is hot. I measured the voltage on the wires of the elctromotor , this was 12v. Is it suppose to turn to -12V when hot ? I turned the elctromotor so i can still drive , but this doesnt make starting the engine easy. Also i was wondering if anyone could tell me where the tempreature sensor is located.

Thanks
Mr Z.
