Is their a radiator drain plug on a facelift 320i or do you have to undo one of the lower hoses?

Should be a blue drain tap on the left hand side. Also a drain plug at the rear of the engine block, hidden under the exhaust manifold.

Would it be ok to just use the radiator hose to drain it?
Or does anyone have a link to a guide?
Its my first time

You can pull the lower radiator hose off to drain the coolant from the radiator if you like, but why not use the drain valve provided?
Draining little more than the radiator is all you will do, though. Most of the coolant will still be in the engine.
