Not sure I normally buy them in 6's from GSF as I change the oil very often (and have two damned e30's!). Theyare not expensive though I couldn't imagine a dealer selling them for more the £8 why don't you phone your local parts dept and get a qoute, Though I can't complain about GSF quality or delivery, though again due to frequent oil changes I don't often have to worry about how an aged oil filter will perform.

IIRC, the dealer price for an oil filter was about the same as Halfords wanted for one, when I happened to compare them a while ago.

Well i just bought a M20 sump gasket (Earling) and a oil filter (MANN) form GSF and it was under £8 so not expensive at all, and the last time i bought genuine BMW filters for the neighbours TD4 freelander they had mann logo's on them...

Filter was £3.30 +vat (£3.88 )

I always get genuine bmw filters - been lazy the last few times and got them from sytnerbmwmini via ebay - £4.99 + £1.99 postage - pretty good price I thought
Previously owned loads of old E30s, E34s, a few E36s, E32s, E39s and an E38.

Currently in a diesel Audi - miss me old E30's....

Halfords stock their own brand and Champion filters.
