Someone has disconnected it then or the bulb has blown as per article,

The article also in a roundabout way tells you how to get round it too. I know I wrote the article.

Usually signs of previous owners bodges. Sounds like he had a wheel sensor fault, which made the abs come on intermitantly and can seriously reduce braking force  He then removed the relay to disengage it and took the abs light out of the dash to 'cover' his tracks.

Thats my guess anyway. Would you like to know the bodge to get it through the MOT as its possibly a sader issue than just replacing a wheel sensor.

Couldn't tell your pictures don't work for me, but some basic info would help!

Age of car please?
Any relays at all under the cover on the pump?

So far there is nothing here which isn't covered in the article link I posted.

AGAIN its in the article!

Wire the abs bulb to the battery bulb it will behave just as expected (but not actually mean anything!)

Would be a better idea to get some relays and a bulb, plug them in, and see what happens.
The original reason for failure will be flagged up for the tester to see when the car is submitted for a retest, so the usual bodge may not be successful.

And this is why cars fall apart! :D Not that I would ever condone such a thing... :P

As march said, you can do it to the oil pressure one if you'd prefer.

yes, also looks to be the later system.

Plug the relays in and watch the light come on instantly and never go out again.
