Got another one for you lovely helpful people:

My courtesy lights aren't working properly. Both driver and passenger side lights work when put to ON position. Both also come on when on the door dependent setting and the passenger door is opened. They don't come on when the driver's door is opened.

Here's the weird bit: I swapped the door switches over and it works exactly the same. Passenger door brings the lights on when open, but driver's door doesn't.

I guess the switches must both be working. How do these switches work - they're single wire, so I guess they are held against the body as an earth??? Maybe the driver's side bit of body isn't earthing properly???

All thoughts and help much appreciated...

It does connect to the body, there is a bit of metal on the outside of the switch that should touch the body at the hole. Check you are getting power to the wire at the back by running a bit of wire from the terminal on the back of the switch and earth it to the body and see if the light comes on. if so it probably needs cleaned up.

Just to let anyone else with this problem know, I got this sorted yesterday by doing the famous red/black wire mod on the driver's door. The delay unit for the courtesy lights wasn't getting any power due to the break in the red black wire.

All fixed now
