HELP! GETING £600-£1000 WELDING QUOTES!

DOES ANY ONE KNOW A CHEAP WELDER? It needs alot of welding to pass an M.O.T. MAY HAVE TO BREAK THIS ONE!!!!! Inner and outer sill, floor plan, subframe mounts, anti roll bar mounts, shock mounts! All over the car. Don't know how it passed last year? Its very quick this one and I want to keep it on the road?

Re shell, and then all you need to weld in is the old chassis number.

Even the most incompetant spanner monkey could do a reshel themselves over a months worth of weekends. I wouldn't dream of letting anyone else to do it for me especially at an average of £40 per hour at most garages.

might be worht thinking about buying a welder and lurning then having a go your self that way you have a skill for life??
the reshell idea soulds like a good one if you really want to keep it
there are some good welding forums and night classes etc at some colleges might be worth a thought

It will cost thousands and you can't get that amount of work done for £450 by even the most desperate cowboys.
I'm all up for expensive repairs that make no economic sense but unless the car is worth a lot of money or you're very attached it, it won't be worth it to do it properly.
And there's no point not doing it properly - the rust will be back in a matter of weeks.
Scrap it, keep the bits you like reshell it when you find a nice clean car.

The well serviced diff, bbs alloys x5 with tyres & centre caps, clutch, exhaust, engine, ecu, brakes, tech 1 kit, spoiler, steering wheel, interior trim, seats & door cards, gear knob/gaiter, mtec suspension/shocks, lights, sunroof, new rear bushes, and all the other bits will be sold!
Not sure if ebay is the way forward here?
