fuel consumption meter broken on 316

Hello,

The fuel consumption meter on my 1987 316 carburetter bmw doesnt work anymore. Where and how is fuel consumption measured and what could be the problem ? Tacho doesnt work either , sometimes it comes up for like 5 seconds. Anyone an idea ?

None of those service leds are working , but i think they have been disabled on purpose a couple of years ago.

Possible that the Varta battery's on the service board have started to leak.

Yep definatly sounds like an si board fault.
