Hi everyone im new here just bought 1989 325i Sport on saturday. Im from Billingahm in the North East travelled down to Reading to collect and had a smile on my face all the way back. Only problem is there is a strong smell of petrol in the car more so on the move just woundered if anyone could give me any tip or hint as to where the common areas are as this is my first E30.

Could be a leak from the flexible fuel pipes that connect to the fuel rail. This could mean petrol dripping onto hot engine components, so get it looked at straight away.

Where can i buy a new fuel filler neck from i have found mine is coroded and there is some small holes near the neck end?

Wasn't someone on here providing a swap service for a reconditioned ( welded/ painted) fuel neck. I seem to remember something though it was a while ago.
