indicator cancelation help

i recently had my steering wheel off to get to the ignition and now my indicators dont self cancel, i have had a look and cant see anything obvious......any ideas

Have you damaged the white peg that sticks out of the inside of the indicator arm? (you will need to remove the steering wheel again to check)

i didnt see a white peg when i looked so i guess i need a new indicator stalk lol
