I've just fitted the E34 sump on my M53B30, All was going well until I tried to fit the power steering pump, the hose that goes up to the pas reservoir from the pump clashes with the front of the sump meaning the pump can't be fitted. Here are a couple of pics of the issue:
I know there are different types of pas pump for the M54, do I need the other type? Or would a pump from an M52/E36 work? I haven't sorted the pipe out yet so the fitting in thy pump doesn't really matter.
Cheers

It may just need a different bracket, I'm sure it is the smaller pump you have
I have got an M54 pump and an E36 pump here, I'll try to have a look tomorrow and compare, Monday latest.

Ok, thanks.
I've since found out that mine is the LF30 pump. The LF20 does look as if it has the hose connections in a different place so may work.

That makes sense, The LF20 is a lot smaller as well. If you are going to use DanThe pipes they only fit the LF20 anyway. LF20 is said to have less pressure and a bit better feel.
Plenty of photos around of the LF20 so you should see if it will work
