Lay it on the floor in the booth for a couple of bakes or when fitted rig up a jig to hold it flat / straight and get Barry to bake it then...?Simon13 wrote: Look at that painted side skirt. The Alpina skirt is quite flexible and is bowing because of the position on the trestle. If you held it up it would go straight again.OBs wrote:Lay it on the floor in the booth for a couple of bakes or when fitted rig up a jig to hold it flat / straight and get Barry to bake it then...?Simon13 wrote: Look at that painted side skirt. When you come to put it all back together,Simon, alocate yourself a fixed time slot each week that is just 'pina time. This way you will look forward to the work, and your 'er indoors will be more understanding. Be worth the extra effort, and as you say,you have no real deadline to meet.

Barry would never let that car hit the trailer for home if there was one thing wrong. I've had a couple of bits done at his gaff now and each time they've been excellent. He's even pointed out areas where he thinks it could have been better. Christ you'd need the most powerfull miscroscope to spot them. I still can't see them now. He's a perfectionist, full stop!

Just a jealous hater Si, To be honest I'd say this is the resto that many of us dream of. It was always going to attract some plank that will spread shite (But that's enough about Pete)

well you do have strong points of view and a wierd accent but plain jealousy seems to be the great driving force on this forum, had some joker spam my thread with comments about my car only being good for scrap, think i put that one to bedSimon13 wrote:there you go but i'm not the most popular with some folks!
still, its a shame that with all this time, effort and skill youre going to end up with a worthless turd

Not that it counts for much, but anyone who actually finishes a resto like this has my full admiration. Especially those who get their hands dirty by doing some of the work themselves. Fair play mate.
